Riaz Muhammad Khan
Founder & Chief Executive
Riaz is an entrepreneur by profession and an avid conservationist at heart. He is also a passionate wildlife photographer. His stunning bird photography has won him acclaim not only on a national level but also internationally. He is the ambassador for Oriental Birds Club United Kingdom on the birds of Pakistan. He has also added new records to the Birding Asia Magazine Forktail.
He is one of the two pioneers of the renowned blog, ‘Birding Blog Islamabad’. For his voluntary work with different organizations, he is well respected as a person who is committed to the protection and restoration of wildlife habitat in Pakistan.
Woodnote films – a more formal and organized approach – has been founded by him along with Abdullah, which is a testimonial of his commitment to the mammoth task of conservation by awareness.

When I grew up, I got more curious not about everything but nature only
When I grew up a little more, things were getting more specific, I got fond of animals
When I grew further, my curiosity for animals became my passion
When I found my passion – wildlife filmmaking- I stopped growing and started out observing and filming wildlife
When I found my life and my passion the same, I got more interesting, more creative, wilder and more passionate
Today I am a wildlife filmmaker at Woodnote Films which is, the labor of love of my passion for the work

Ejaz Rehman
Field Biologist
With his formal education in biology and his loads of experience as a field biologist, his role in guiding the film crew to get the desired shot is instrumental. Being a researcher he is well aware of animal behavior, issues and their role in the wider context of ecosystem. This helps us shape our documentaries more accurately from scientific point of view.
Drawing on his intimate firsthand knowledge of local cultures, he plays a crucial role in convincing local communities to open the doors for latest conservation techniques such as wildlife film-making.
